FAW Jiefang Truck Co.,Ltd. boosted sales 58.9 percent year on year to 9,766 units in February on strong demand for heavy  trucks.

Despite a shortened sales period in February -- due to the timing of the Lunar New Year holiday, Jiefang heavy truck sales jumped 70 percent from a year earlier to 5,700 units, maintained its leading position in China’s heavy truck market.

In February, deliveries of medium and heavy truck surged 65.5 percent year on year to 9,065 units, light truck rose 4.6 percent to 701 units. Sales revenue of components and parts rose 40 percent year on year to 59.65 million yuan.
