The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) released the “Research report on overseas social responsibility of central enterprises (2023) (Bule Book)” recently. FAW Group was included into the Blue Book as a best practice case study on overseas social responsibility performance due to its activities in carrying out its main responsibilities and businesses, promoting green and low-carbon development, and engaging in charity and public-welfare programs.

The SASAC has released the Blue Book for 6 consecutive years. A total of 49 best practice cases from 48 central SOEs were selected based on their overseas business performance, operating and management, innovation in science and technology, green and low-carbon development, emergency rescue, as well as charity and public welfare activities. Among which, the case study, recommended by FAW, Through all-out Efforts to Fulfill Overseas Social Responsibility and Enhancing Brand Image of Central SOES, provides a systematically review and summary of FAW’s fulfillment of overseas social responsibility, and offers experience for automobile companies to practice CSR overseas.

Looking ahead, FAW will continuously grasp the new opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative, actively practice overseas CSR, improve the construction of social responsibility at the brand strategy level, and explore the new ways and programs of responsibility fulfillment in the new era, so as to achieve high-quality and sustainable development overseas.

FAW is a leading global manufacturer of quality passenger cars, trucks, and buses. Established in 1953, the company is China’s oldest and largest automotive group. Annual sales exceed three million units.
