On July 14, FAW Group, Volkswwagen AG and Audi AG signed a memorandum of understanding on deepening strategic cooperation in Changchun.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of FAW, and the 35th anniversary of the cooperation among FAW, Volkswagen and Audi. To further demonstrate the solid cooperative partnership, the three parties has drawed a detailed plan for the new prospects of future cooperation. The ceremony symbolizes the deepening ties between the Chinese and German automakers, with both parties engaging in comprehensive planning for future cooperation.

FAW Group and Volkswagen AG will jointly enhance the product portfolio of the Volkswagen brand, and advance the development of electrc vehicles.FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd, (FAW-Volkswagen), a joint venture between FAW Group and Volkswagen AG, will fully leverage its advantages in research and devleopment, to accelerate the pace of product launches and optimize cost efficiency.It will continue to strengthen the brand image of Volkswagen, and support the sustainable devleopment of its sub-brand Jetta.Morever, the two parties will continue to support the development of the CAMS, a charging joint venture, so as to advance China’s progress in creating a comprehensive new energy vehicle ecosystem and infrastructure to contribute to the nation's carbon neutrality goals by 2060.

In the new mobility service era, FAW Group and Audi AG will expand cooperation in high-end product lineup, while reinforcing their cooperation in production, manufacturing and sales.The Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle project is set to commence production of Audi models based on the PPE platform by the end of 2024.With a view to provide high-end customer experience, the two parties will continue to enhance and improve marketing architecture to optimize product launch porcesses. FAW and Audi, as long-term cooperation partners, are committed to deepen common responsibilities of environmental protection and sustainable development, in-depth integration of international resources to build a more powerful global supply chains in the challenging times.
