FAW and ZGMICRO Establish a Joint Lab for Automotive ICs

FAW General R&D Institute signed a cooperation agreement with ZGMICRO, a high-tech integrated circuits design enterprise, in Changchun, Jilin province, on Apr 27.

ZGMICRO, a company specializing in the R&D and design of Internet of Things sensor network chips, is competitive globally in the industry. FAW considers the cooperation as an important part to expand the ecosphere of automotive intelligent chips manufactured domestically, and boost automotive intelligent chips R&D and application. The two sides will give full play to their advantages, strengthen better alignment in resources and benchmark international standards. The joint lab will carry out automotive related intelligent chips R&D, design and application, try to achieve breakthroughs in core technologies in automotive fields, and tackle problems to manufacture automotive intelligent chips domestically.
