FAW Group Corporation (FAW) held a Hongqi Brand Press Conference and unveiled Hongqi’s latest R&D achievements at 2021 Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2021) on April 19.

Xu Liuping, chairman of FAW Group released the “1 + 10” R&D achievements of new Hongqi, that is, a set of complete industrial ecological innovation solution, 3 all-new Hongqi concept vehicles (E-QM5, EV-Concept and L-Concept), two high-end Hongqi models (S9 sports car and H9+ Magnolia Customized Version) that have been officially reserved, and 5 key technologies, at the Auto Shanghai 2021.

“FAW Group is going all out to build EcoLin5, a future-oriented smart and green urban automobile ecosystem that focused on NEV intelligent auto industrial chain, and integrated four other industrial chains, including new type consumption, smart and green transportation, intelligent energy and new infrastructure"，said Xu Liuping at the press conference.

Three all-new Hongqi concept vehicles, including E-QM5, the world’s first high-end EV tailored for the shared mobility service, EV-Concept, features distinctive Hongqi design concept called “noble, excellence and artistic conception”, and L-Concept, a new L-series limousine with ultimate design language and outstanding technology, were also unveiled at the Auto Shanghai 2021.

In addition, Hongqi S9 sports car and Hongqi H9+ Magnolia-themed Customized Version were officially kicked off presale, “For each H9+ and S9 sold, FAW will provide 50,000 yuan and 500,000 yuan respectively to Hongqi Dream Fund and Supportive Fund for areas that have cast off poverty, to help poverty-stricken students and support the sustainable development of these areas,” added Xu Liuping.

Cutting-edge technologies, including hydrogen-powered engine, next generation advanced electrification and intelligence platform HEi2.0, 300kW electric power system Hm3, FEEA3.0 electrical and electronic architecture technology, Qisi 2.0 - Hongqi’s Smile human-machine interaction experience platform were also exhibited at the Auto Shanghai 2021.
