With a view to further enhance technological innovations and step up breakthroughs in core and key technologies, FAW Group Corporation (FAW) held the fourth Science and Technology Conference in Changchun, where FAW Group is headquartered, on October 30.

 Xu Liuping, Chairman of FAW Group Corporation released Innovation 2030 - FAW Hongqi R.Flag Technological Development Strategy at the conference.

The conference was chaired by Qiu Xiandong, President of FAW Group Corporation

Qin Huanming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC FAW Group Committee announced Decisions on awarding and honoring individuals and teams who made outstanding contributions in technological innovation.

Wang Guoqiang, Vice President of FAW Group reviewed FAW’s scientific and technological innovation achievements during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), and released FAW’s Technology Development Objectivity in the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).

In the past five years, FAW Group fully implemented innovation-driven development strategy, steadily advanced scientific and technological innovations with regard to “new intelligence, new energy, new material, new process, new design and new craftsmanship,” and achieved fruitful outcomes in technological and ecological innovations as well as innovations in product and management.

Going forward, FAW will stay committed to comprehensively and thoroughly implement the important remarks of Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, who stressed aspirations and efforts to build strong domestic automobile brands when he visited the R&D headquarters of FAW Group during his inspection tour in northeast China's Jilin Province on July 23, 2020. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), FAW Group will spare no effort to make breakthroughs in key and core technologies, advance development of self-owned brands, and build itself into a world-class automobile manufacturer at an early date.

Qin Huanming, Member of BOD, and Deputy Secretary of the CPC FAW Group Committee announced FAW’s decision on awarding and honoring individuals and teams who made outstanding contributions in scientific and technological innovative development of FAW.

At the conference, FAW Group also announced to jointly establish basic application laboratories with Jilin University, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Shanghai Jiaotong University respectively.
