Hongqi Announces a Chief Official Partnership with AESF e-Masters

FAW Group (FAW) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) on Sept 22, to become the chief official partner of AESF e-Masters Chengdu 2020, a top standard e-sports event held in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. 

During the event, FAW will offer Hongqi HS5 and Hongqi H5 models as the official vehicle to provide high-quality mobility services for competitors and guests. China electronic competitive squad will participate the event in special uniforms with Hongqi’s logo on it. 

It is the first time for AESF e-Masters · China, a top esports Asian-based tournament covering 45 countries and regions, to be held in China. Athletes from 22 countries and regions will participate in four official games of League of Legends, Arena of Valor, Pro Evolution Soccer 2020, WarCraft III, and two demonstration games of VR UAV Race and Robot Combat. 

As the first top-notch comprehensive esports event in Asia, AESF e-Masters Chengdu 2020 will promote international communication and push the standard of esports in Asia to the next level. Furthermore, it is a significant event among Asian top esports countries after esports being added as a demonstration sport at Jakarta Asian Game 2018.

China's e-sports industry is growing fast in scale and popularity due to the promotion recent years. It is the first time for Hongqi brand to participate in a world-class esports tournament. The transboundary cooperation between Hongqi and AESF e-Masters is a win-win collaboration of two big IP in automotive industry and sports respectively.

Hongqi, the premium brand is actively participating in and sponsoring various sports events to enhance its brand image of dynamic, vitality and sporty. The brand has obtained exclusive naming right of Changchun Marathon and sponsored the event since 2018. On Jan 8, 2020, Hongqi brand teamed up with China Women National Volleyball Team as the major sponsor and official partner.  

Hongqi’s August sales soared 110 percent over a year ago to 21020 units, a new record for a single month. For the first eight months of 2020, Hongqi sold around 108,500 vehicles in total, posting a robust year-on-year surge of 108%.
