FAW Group Corporation (FAW) announced today that it output and sold 352,273 and 344,548 complete vehicles in May, up 23.5% and 30.9% year on year respectively.

Hongqi brand produced and sold 16,002 and 15,103 complete vehicles in May, posting a stupendous year-on-year growth of 97.2% and 133.3% respectively. Bestune brand output 9,654 vehicles, and delivered 8,217 units to customers, with a year-on-year growth of 11.9%.

FAW Mazda saw its complete vehicle outputs in May jump 41.1% from a year ago to 9,601 units, and sold 10,009 vehicles during the same period with a vigorous year-on-year growth of 42.8%. FAW Jiefang sold a total of 53,538 commercial trucks in May, achieving a significant year-on-year growth of 60.9%.

Last month, FAW-Volkswagen obtained a surge of 36.5% with 184,332 vehicles handed over to customers. FAW Toyota saw its deliveries edged up 1.2% from a year ago to 72,035 units.
