Since the beginning of March, public attention has been focused on the National Congress of the Communist Party, which has a direct bearing on the nation’s economy and the people’s livelihood. Who will be chosen as the official vehicle for the Congress has drawn lots of attention due to the rapid growth of the domestic Sedan ’s market.  After evaluating the candidates for comprehensive features, supporting services, reputation and other factors, the Congress finally chose the 400 FAW Hongqi Sedan as the official vehicle of the Congress.  Hongqi has continued to be the official car for Congress for ten years in succession.

As reported, the 400 Hongqi official sedans for Congress were mainly provided by Beijing Capital Motor Co., Ltd and Beijing Motor and Taxi Co., Ltd..  Besides a few MINSHI models, the majority of them were Hongqi Century Star Series Sedans which were launched into the market within the last couple of years.  In recent years, based on the developmental strategy of “maintaining National brand status, open-mindedness, progressive development, Sustained leadership, and Adopting strength extensively”, Hongqi has successfully launched  a variety of new products, such as Century Star and New Mingshi, with excellent features, yet relatively low price. They have also improved the products’ quality greatly while continuing to promote “steward service” to ensure that Hongqi consumers will enjoy first class customer care and service. 

A leader at FAW Sedan Plant stated that Hongqi people are proud to have Hongqi Sedans as the official vehicle for the Congress and at the same time sense greater responsibility.  On one hand, highly responsible Hongqi people will do their best to provide thorough service to display the Nation’s strength, image and impact as the official sedan for the Congress; on the other hand, as the leader of the independent manufacturers, Hongqi people shoulder the expectation and trust of the 1.3 billion Chinese people, along with the hope and future of the independent automotive industry.  There is still a long way to go and a lot to do, but Hongqi people will carry on the legacy of Hongqi, and improve the products and service to return the favor to the people, and society.
