The inauguration ceremony of ZF FAWER Chassis Technology ( Changchun ) Co., Ltd. was grandly held on July 16, 2005. Mayor and vice mayor of Changchun, Zhu Yejing and Zhang Anshun, Dr. Goll of ZF CEO, vice president of FAW Group Corp., Teng Tieqi and main leaders from important customers such as FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd., Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd., FAW Coach Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony.

ZF FAWER Chassis Technology Company is a Sino-German joint venture, cooperated between ZF, world advanced technological producer of chassis components and FAWER Automotive Parts Company, large scale automotive parts supplier in China . The contract for the JV was signed on November 25, 2003 by both companies. Total investment of the JV is 403,47million yuan (RMB) with contributive proportion FAWER 49% and ZF 51%.

New JV covers an area of 71,400 square meters with 23,266 square meters building area. The company has two sub-plants: Passenger Car System Plant and Commercial Vehicle / Passenger Car Components Plant. The Passenger Car System Plant mainly produces front and rear axle modules matched with passenger cars; Commercial Vehicle / Passenger Cars Components plant mainly produces suspension components, steering link units and other chassis parts for light, medium and heavy duty trucks, coaches, and passenger cars. The company will form the production capacity of 50,000 sets of front and rear axle assembly module, 83,000 sets of suspension links for commercial vehicles and 82,000 sets of steering linkages.

ZF FAWER Chassis Technology is formally opened. It symbolizes that another large scale automotive parts joint venture is established in China . With its high-tech products, the JV will surely push forward China automotive parts industry.
