FAW output and sold 246,300 and 238,700 complete vehicles in April, up by 4.9% and 3.5% year on year respectively. The sales of FAW’s wholly-owned passenger vehicle brands stood at 42,300 vehicles, climbing up 15.7% over the previous year. Among which, 19,200 units were new energy vehicles, shooting up 207% from a year ago.
FAW's wholly-owned brands delivers outstanding performance. The Hongqi has formed a complete product lineup covering gasoline, all-electric, plug-in hybrid, and extended range powertrains. The brand currently offers 18 models on the market. At the Auto Shanghai 2025, Hongqi unveiled its first flying car, the Tiannian-1, and its first luxury off-road vehicle. Notably, it also launched the Golden Sunflower User Club and delivered the first tailor-made Guoli model, the luxury flagship sedan of Hongqi Golden Sunflower series in the ten-million-yuan-level segment at the Auto Shanghai 2025, showcasing the extraordinary charm of China's wholly-owned high-end brand to the world.
FAW Jiefang, the commercial vehicle arm of FAW, is intensifying focus on intelligent electrification technologies, and enhancing core competitiveness through a diverse product range and leading technological advantages. Last month, FAW Jiefang signed a procurement agreement for 1,000 battery-swapping heavy-duty trucks with CATL QIJI Energy and Chongyi Shidai.

At Auto Shanghai 2025, Hongqi officially put the H5 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) edition onto the market. The super hybrid intelligent luxury sedan boasts a combined range of up to 1,707 kilometers with a full charge and tank.
Other models debuted at the Auto Shanghai 2025 including the Tian Gong 06, the Yueyi 08, the Audi A6L e-tron, and the ID. AURA, the first concept car developed on the Volkswagen’s CMP platform. FAW Toyota also held a technical launch event for the bZ5, a new intelligent electric model at the Auto Shanghai 2025.
FAW’s overseas expansion opens a new chapter. In April this year, Hongqi brand officially released its latest globalization strategy, aiming to jointly create a “Mobility Value Community” with users and partners. It also introduced new models including the Hongqi Guoya, the Tian Gong 05, and the Tian Gong 06 models to the global markets. Jiefang brand has continuously expanded its overseas market layout. In April, FAW Jiefang signed a memorandum of understanding with a South Korean partner in Seoul, marking a new step in its global strategy.

At the on-site experience zone in the "Comprehensive Empowerment of Economic and Social Development" section, FAW set up a booth to comprehensively display core AI elements such as business units, FAW·Seven Stars Cloud Workbench, full-level penetrability and AI agent, conveying FAW's concept of reconstructing enterprise management paradigms through digital and intelligent technologies.
