FAW Jiefang, FAW Group’s commercial vehicle subsidiary, signed an agreement with Shell China on comprehensively deepening strategic cooperation in Changchun on May 10.

According to the agreement, the cooperation between FAW Jiefang and Shell will promote from the R&D and marketing of lubricating oil to an all-round strategic collaboration, with its cooperation fields extended from traditional business to new energy vehicle sectors, and from domestic business to overseas markets.  

The two parties will carry out cooperation in integrated new energy solution, new energy commercial vehicles, multi-dimensional technological innovation, concept truck project, and cooperation in overseas markets. Through joint research and development, and business cooperation, the two parties will jointly explore energy solution, low-carbon development strategies and a new path to reduce costs and increase efficiency, so as to promote green and sustainable development of China’s commercial vehicle industry and transportation sector.
