FAW Group Co., Ltd. (FAW) announced its output and sales in January were 290,371 units and 311,508 units respectively.

Hongqi, the premium car brand of FAW, produced 37,758 units and sold 42,158 units in January, surged by 60.9 percent and 29.6 percent year-on-year respectively. In the first month of 2022, over 26,000 Jiefang trucks were produced and more than 28,000 turcks were sold. Bestune, a passenger car brand of FAW, said a total of 3,500 vehicles were produced and 5,466 vehicles were sold.

The joint ventures produced and sold 222,537 vehicles and 234,718 vehicles in January: FAW-Volkswagon produced 181,573 vehicles and sold 182,977 vehicles; FAW Toyota produced 40,964 vehicles and sold 51,741 vehicles.
