FAW Group Corporation will display a total of 22 home-grown vehicles, including both production and concept vehicles, at the 13th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2009). The exhibition is held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from April 20 to 28.
Along the way of "innovation and development", the following new products debut at the exhibition, which shows FAW's successful fruits of opening-up and reform.
1) Hongqi Concept SUV ¨C a high-end independent developed product, inherits the traditional styling and design of Hongqi brand, and blends the styling and design theory of modern world class. The SUV equips with FAW's self-developed V8 or V12 engine.
2) Besturn B50 (compact B segment) - the second model introduced under FAW's Besturn brand. The B50 is made on the base of the platform technique of Besturn B70, and features a 102-horsepower, 1.6-liter and four-cylinder engine.

4) TFC-A1 - a vogue A-class sedan with high power, advanced safety and environmental friendly features, equipped with FAW's high power engine, its emission now can reach Euro IV. Its core users are mainly of high-income groups, white-collars and so on. TFC-A1 will serve these people and let them have a new experience.
5) CA6120URH1 ¨C the second generation of hybrid coach developed by FAW. Styling of the coach inherits the concept of FAW's commercial vehicles. Body contour is unique and rich of a feeling of sculpture. Adopted the paralleling configuration of double-axle, the coach is characterized by simple structure, low cost and easy maintenance. Application of CAN bus technique makes the whole vehicle controller easy to control each sub assembly, and AMT reflects functional hybrid vehicle at the highest degree. Compared with common vehicles, CA6120URH1 saves 15-30% fuel consumption
Besides displaying new vehicles above, FAW exhibits advanced engines as follows:
6) CA12GV Engine ¨C the engine is installed on the upscale cars. FAW's R&D Center first accomplished test run of the CA12GV engine on Feb 22 last year. The success of trial production of V12 engine means FAW Group gains much progress at the development of high-performance engines and represents FAW's another technological breakthrough following the development of CA6DL engine and JB8 engine. The CA12GV engine has following technological characteristics: advanced combustion system; combined work of master/slave ECU; double Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) system; aluminum material light-weight design; advanced NVH design and noiseless chain transmission.
Other models on display include Jiefang brand commercial trucks, Hongqi brand luxury sedans, Besturn B70 and Xiali brand economic cars.
