08/28/2008 J.D.Power Asia Pacific released "2008 China Auto Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI)" research report. FAW-Volkswagen Audi brand ranked first (out of 1000 points, the industry average of 826 points) with 847 points. This was the fourth time Audi brand ranked first in the selection of SSI.

07/19/2007 FAW-Volkswagen launched Jetta production in Chengdu, the capital of China's southwestern Sichuan Province.
05/19/2007 According to statistics released by the China Passenger Car Association, FAW-Volkswagen saw its sales rise 25.2 percent year-over-year during the first 4 months of 2007 to 137,346 units. The Volkswagen brand accounted for 106,588 cars and the Audi brand 30,758, a 26.5 percent and 21 percent increase respectively over the same period last year.

10/13/2006 FAW-Volkswagen and the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China (PRC) signed an agreement for the purchase of 5,200 police package-equipped Jetta sedans for the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau (BMPSB), the largest single order for FAW-Volkswagen's popular Jetta police vehicle in the company's history.
