Celebration ceremony was held for the 200,000th CA4GD engine down line and the CA4GC20TD supercharged direct injection engine being put into production at FAW Car on Apr 9.

The CA4GC20TD supercharged direct injection engine was developed by FAW Group. To be matched with H platform Hongqi Limousine, the top speed of the 2.0L engine with rated power 150kw is 6000r/min. When the engine is at 1500rpm, it can get to the maximum torque of 280Nm. Dynamic characteristics of the engine is equal to a 3.0L naturally aspirated engine. Now the engine meets with Euro V emission standard, and has the potential to meet with Euro VI emission standard.

As the first mass-production engine, FAW Car’s 4GD 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine is possessed of completely independent intellectual property, which has already been equipped with Besturn B70, B90 and X80. The comprehensive characteristics of the engine, including dynamic characteristics, economic performance, noise, vibration control etc, also have led the world for its up-to-date technology.
