The project of “key technology and demonstration in trailer dropped and picked up transportation”, jointly undertaken by FAW Jiefang Truck Co., Ltd. and China Highway & Transportation Society of Ministry of Transport of PRC, has passed the examination and appraisal and won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Society.

China Highway & Transportation Society is a well-organized academic organization with strong influence and absolute authority in China’s highway and transportation industry. The award is the most important scientific prize in this field in China.

The major content of the project is the lightweight development technology for trailer dropped and picked up transportation trucks. FAW Jiefang focused on specific requirements, promoted development of truck frame, driving axle, brake, suspension, transmission and rim by complying new technologies, materials and structure, and developed a J6P 6×4 lightweight tractor. The tractor successfully passed dependability test and performance test, and took the lead in China’s market for its performance and  technical specifications.
