FAW Group Corporation (FAW) announced on Mar 2 that its wholesale deliveries in February jumped 32.3 percent to 228,000 vehicles, and terminal sales increased 15.3 percent to 203,000 vehicles. FAW’s wholesale deliveries advanced 21 percent to 552,000 vehicles in the first two months of the year.
FAW-Volkswagen, a joint venture between FAW Group and Volkswagen AG, says its wholesale deliveries of VW and Audi brands increased 10.9 percent to 119,000 vehicles in February, and its terminal sales up 9.3 percent to 112,000 vehicles.
The wholesale volume of FAW-Toyota surged 46.4 percent year on year in February to 55,000 units.
FAW Mazda’s wholesale deliveries surged 219.7 percent to 8,600 units year on year, and its terminal sales rose 105.3 percent to 7,350 units year on year.
FAW Jiefang saw wholesale deliveries of 26,000 units and terminal sales of 24,000 units in February. Wholesales of Jiefang medium and heavy duty trucks reached 24,000 units and terminal sales up to 23,000 units. Jiefang February sales were estimated to take the market share of 23 percent, up 3.5 percent year on year.
Wholesale deliveries of FAW Jilin Automotive were 7,700 units, surged 286.4 percent year on year.
