FAW Group (FAW) officially launched the presale of the E-HS9, Hongqi’s first luxury battery electric SUV model, with a price range of RMB 550,000 to RMB 700,000 at Auto China 2020 on Sept 26. 

As the first luxury flagship battery electric SUV model under Hongqi brand, the E-HS9 represents a milestone achievement for Hongqi’s development in NEV field, and demonstrates FAW’s latest technologies in electrification and intelligent connectivity.

The new model, retaining Hongqi family’s iconic design philosophy of “Chinese New Noble & Exquisite”, features dynamic appearance, exclusive prestige immersive experience, oriental aesthetics, rich configurations, intelligent technologies, outstanding safety standards, as well as healthy and environment-friendly materials. Equipped with a four-wheel-drive system and self-developed 160/245kW electric power system, the Hongqi E-HS9 emphasizes a high range and low electricity consumption. 

Focused on auto electrification, intelligent, sharing and eco-friendly solutions, Hongqi brand is accelerating its pace in implementing R.Flag Technological Development Strategy. Hongqi brand plans to realize the commercialization of solid-state battery and promote its EVs range to 1,000km by 2025.
