FAW Group Corporation (FAW) announced today that it output and sold 342,333 and 330,503 vehicles respectively in April, surging 19.7% and 20.4% compared to the previous year. To minimize the impact from the COVID-19 epidemic, FAW implemented targeted policies to ensure both epidemic prevention and control, and production resumption. For the first four months, FAW's cumulative deliveries amounted to 938,407 units.

FAW’s Hongqi brand sold over 14,519 new vehicles in April, posting a stupendous year-on-year growth of 168%. FAW Car, a branch of FAW which producing Bestune and Mazda passenger cars, delivered 13,166 vehicles in April, growing 4.8% year on year. FAW Jiefang, FAW’s truck manufacturing base, saw its April sales jumped 86.8% year on year to 67,959 units. 

FAW-Volkswagen, a joint venture between FAW Group and Volkswagen Group, announced its auto sales in April up to 161,632 units, growing 7.7% year on year. FAW Toyota delivered 71,575 vehicles in April, up 8.5 percent year on year.
