Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Wuhan, the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Council urged related government departments and localities to improve response plans and spare no effort in prevention and control in this regard. Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed that the prevention and control of the outbreak is the country’s most important work for now.
To combat the epidemic and ensure the health of the employees and their families, FAW Group absolutely implemented the requirements and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and mobilized all employees to strengthen prevention and control of the spread of the epidemic.
A leading group and all-levels of working teams have been established soon after the outbreak of the epidemic. Up to now, various epidemic prevention efforts have been made efficiently and orderly.
To curb the spread of the epidemic, FAW Group has taken comprehensive measures to combat novel coronavirus, including daily disinfection and ventilation of office spaces and workshops as well as public facilities such as cateens and shuttle buses. All employees who enter the office spaces were asked to measure temperatures. In addition, staff gyms and activity centers were temporarily closed and activities such as conference, centralized training, large scale market promotion and exhibition were temporarily suspended. FAW Group also urged all departments and subsidiaries to establish leading teams and working mechanism on the prevention and contol of the novel coronavirus.
FAW Group also issued public letters to employees, urging them to actively response to the spread of the epidemic and pay attention to strengthen self-protection with less out-door activities.
Up to now, FAW Group, together with its two joint ventures – FAW-Volkswagen and FAW-Toyota – has donated 81 million yuan to central China’s Hubei Province to combat the pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus.
FAW Group’s mobility company has also organized and operated a special service fleet, providing mobility service for medical staff as well as residents in Wuhan city.
