CA6DL2 Engine

Able to satisfy differing global market requirements, FAW's versatile 8.6 liter CA6DL2 series 6-cylinder engines are available in emissions levels from Euro-2 thru Euro-4. With mechanically controlled direct injection, Euro-2 models are available in 310, 330 and 350 horsepower ratings, with torque ratings from 1,250 to 1,450 N.m. Electronically controlled direct injected Euro-3 and Euro-4 versions are offered at 330, 350 and 370 horsepower, with torque ratings from 1,350 to 1,650 N.m. Euro-4 models utilize SCR.

Up to 350 kg lighter than equivalent horsepower big-bore engines, the CA6DL series combines heavy-duty performance with lightweight efficiency. The engine's wide operating range, high torque rise and fast throttle response allows both on-highway and vocational operators to optimize transmission and rear-end gearing selection for maximum performance and fuel economy.

Compared to similar size engines, FAW's 350 horsepower CA6DL2 has the lowest fuel consumption and ambient noise characteristics in its class. The four-valve-per-cylinder head design improves engine breathing and creates an optimum air-to-fuel ratio for more complete combustion. The engine's compact, modular design and impressive power-to-weight ratio translates directly into increased payload capacity for more profitable operation. A structurally reinforced block contributes to the engine's durable and robust design to assure a long service life. These benefits and others make the CA6DL2 a truly cost-effective powerplant.
